» If you are from the south, you know us Southerners like our sweet tea?

Have you ever had real southern sweet tea? My sons were so clever, with help from my 97 year old mother, their school had a fund raiser today and her idea was for them to sell MISS BELLES SOUTHERN SWEET TEA, they sold glasses that had the name of the high school on them, filled with her real sweet tea....yes its winter, but it was the biggest hit...I think her being there promoting it helped! Have you ever had real sweet tea?Well, I love the name. I bet that they will be asking for more. It's a daily drink here even the winter. I have never had hot tea. The thought of hot tea just doesn't seem right. Get her to teach them to make "sun tea." The Boys don't realize how lucky they are to have Belle there. I wish she would write...... - 2009-07-03

» Battery Chamber Door replacement...

They seem to break a lot. Does anyone know where I can pick one up other than ebay. I've got a Nikon D80 and performed a "drop-test" on it yesterday and I got really, really, really lucky in all that happened was the battery door broke off. Right now my camera looks like a lot of my grandfather's old cameras, electrical tape holding something on, and I'd like to get it fixed. I haven't had a chance to call any local camera shops, yet (are there even any left out there here in SE Michigan). I'm hoping I can find one locally, but if I have to get one online I will. » Please tell me why 5 x 7 x 13 x 17 + 17 is a composite number?

Because it must be an even number, and therefore--- Composite ! A composite number is a number whose factors are other than one and itself. Because it can be constructed as a product of smaller integers. There is a 17 as a factor in the left term, and 17 is in the right term. Therefore 17 can be factored out of the entire expression. ==== Person below me, for someone who claims to be "intellectual", you certainly know how to take the dumbest of approaches5 x 7 x 13 x 17 + 17 = 17(5 x 7 x 13 +1) but 5 x 7 x 13 it's odd number because it's a product of prime numbers then 5 x 7 x 13+1 it's even then 2 divide (5 x 7 x 13 +1) then 5 x 7 x 13 x 17 + 17 it's composite number 5 x 7 x 13 x 17 + 17 = 35 x 1...... - 2009-07-03

Hahaha. i dont know maybe i dreamed it or something, but if anyone knows about this please let me know. thanksIt's actually the metal detectors/xray machines you have to worry about. It can ruin your film. What I did last time i flied I just handed them my film before I went through the detector, they looked at it and didn't scan it. My site is www.a1agifts.com What seems very odd is that only the home page tables look big in Firefox while every other page looks okay. The site looks ok with Internet Explorer. For example when viewed in firefox the homepage tables are distorted: www.a1agifts.com while any other page has the tables ok: http://www.a1agifts.com/gifts-collectibles-wholesale.htm There must be a coding error on the homepage as the top border on both pages is identical and the tables on the main body are also WIDER when view in Firefox than Internet Explorer. » Sides of Right Triangle?

I was given the lengths of the triangle but I have to show if they are really the correct sides. How do I solve that? The lengths are 1. a= 3, b=4, c=5 2. a= 5, b= 6, c= 7 3. a= 7, b= 24, c= 25For any right-angled triangle (smallest side)^2 + (middle side)^2 = (longest side)^2 You will find that this works exactly for two of those you have. The Triangle Inequality theorem states that the sum of the lengths of any two sides of a triangle is greater than the length of the third side. So take the smaller two side lengths and their sum has to be greater than the third side length. If the two smaller side lengths aren't greater than the third, then its not a triangle. Instead you would have a figure like: / /___...... - 2009-07-03

» How is alaska territory today?

Alaska is not a territory anymore, it is a state. To be exact the largest state in the U.S.A. and it is both the farthest west, north, and east (Due to some crazy geographer or somebody who decided that, if you don't believe be look it up). Alaska Facts and Trivia Outsiders first discovered Alaska in 1741 when Danish explorer Vitus Jonassen Bering sighted it on a voyage from Siberia. Russian whalers and fur traders on Kodiak Island established the first settlement in Alaska in 1784. In 1867 United States Secretary of State William H. Seward offered Russia $7,200,000, or two cents per acre, for Alaska. On October 18, 1867 Alaska officially became the property of the United States. » Why did Great Britain enter World War 1?

Why did Great Britain enter World War 1? thanks for the helpI believe it was because of treaty requirements. At that time there were a lot of treaties between countries which required if one country was attacked the other had to come to their aid. the octopus like hands of multi lateral treaties, that where at there apex in that time period. basically it siad that if Germany attached france, Britian would attack germany, it's a little more involved than that, but thats it in a nut shell. Its a long story that starts with the assassination of Arch Duke Ferdinand in Sarajevo. » I'm doomed

So I got lured into being a goalkeeper in a Sunday men's league. Though I'm new to soccer, I've been a roller hockey goalie (A and B league level) for nearly 10 years; I know the two are way different, and I could use a few tips on tactics, positioning, equipment and anything else you guys can think of. Thanks!IMHO the most important part of goal keeping is cutting off the angles. So my advice is to take a few steps forward off the line( perhaps 5 yards). For a reference the top of the goal area is 6 yards away from the goal line, so position yourself about a yard from that line. This will help cut off the angles and make you appear "bigger".hit the strikers, don't let them hit you. make yourself big in the goal and pray that your defence...... - 2009-07-03

Now, I've done a bit of my own work (I am a design guy, not a progammer, just trying to get a cool site up for my Photography and I love Flash). I've taken the image area and now it imports an SWF including the comments gallery from Flash-db. I've been able to add a border around my image based on the following code, which steals the variable from the gallery movie, from the XML... var my_color:Color = new Color(this.image_mc.frame_mc); my_color.setRGB(_root.mainColor); This is in the image/comments SWF that loads in via the Gallery f...... - 2009-07-03

» Time To Buy A Camera

Ive asked in the past about which camera to get but at that time I really had no way of getting the camera. Now I do. I could get a camera as early as tonight but if I have to I can wait. A moderate price savings really isnt going to make me wait though, so if I can get the same camera locally I will likely do that. For a long time the Nikon D50 has been the camera that I have wanted. I now have the money to get this but since I do...I have started to look at other cameras. The D70 is only a couple hundred more but that might be a stretch. » Hwy 77 Detour - Beatrice to Manhattan

For those chasing today and tomorrow (June 4 & 5, 2008), Highway 77 south out of Beatrice NE has a significant detour when you get into Kansas somewhere around Marysville if my memory serves me correctly. This would wreck a good chase if you weren't aware of it. It re-routes you to the east so you can't keep going south towards Manhattan. Just an FYI. MarkWow - this is good to know. The nearest options would be 81 to the west, or 75 to the east ... both of these are a significant jaunt away from 77. It's going to totally suck if there's a storm track up through there, which is a very real possibility on a day like this. The detour is 9 / 99 / 16 I made a quick map: Yellow is the detour, red is the bridge out (2 miles north of 16) shoul...... - 2009-07-03

The ministry will hold a briefing on the matter at 0210 GMT, a ministry official said by telephone. The official said it would take about two days to confirm whether the poultry had been infected with bird flu. Chickens at the poultry farm in North Cholla province showed signs of bird flu, the official said. He would not speculate as to whether it was the potentially deadly H5N1 strain or not. » Did I buy the right camera?

I was a casually-serious amateur back in the day with my Canon AE1 (which still works fine after 25 years), but I haven’t taken anything more than what I would consider a snapshot in 20 years or so. I recently replaced my 3.2 MP point-and-shoot with the Fujifilm FinePix S700BK, but now I’m wondering if I should have bought a more grown-up camera (a DLSR, that is). Truthfully, I like the Fuji so far, but I really haven’t had time yet to explore its possibilities and discover its limitations. Here’s my question: Do I need a DSLR to take “serious” photos? The Fuji has a 10x optical zoom, which is probably sufficient for my needs, so I’m not sure if the ability to use different lenses with a wider variety of focal lengths is a priority right...... - 2009-07-03

» ASP.net web app deployment - Visual Studio 'Copy Project' error

Hi, I have developed a web app on XP using Visual Studio 2003, and need to deploy it on a Windows 2003 server for testing. From Visual Studio, I select "Copy Project", choose web access method - FrontPage, and select that only the files that are needed to run be copied over to the server. I get an error: Unable to open Web project '/'. Not Found. In trying to resolve this, I have done the following: * placed a file called get_aspx_ver_.aspx, contents of file: * registered .net with IIS via aspnet_regis and registered aspnet_isapi.dll using regsvr32 * added all networking, file, management & monitoring Windows components via Control Panels --> Add or Remove Windows Co...... - 2009-07-03

» Problem starting XBMC as default dash

Hi all, I upgraded my xbmc by installing on the E:\Apps\XBMC the version rev14439 But whatever dash replacement I try (solution 1 with shortcut by team XBMC with the .cfg file or solution 2 with shortcut by team UIX) (note: I rename & replace the default c:\xboxdash.xbe), when I turn the xbox on, I get the error 13 - service required. If I put back the original xboxdash.xbe or replace it with an evox one, everything is fine... it's just those new damns shortcut things that give problem. (With my previous version of xbmc that was using the HOME parameter, I had no problem...) » WOL will not refresh!!

After upgrading my site TalkPA.net to 3.7 gold my Who's Online page will not auto-refresh like normal. The upgrade was fine and smooth, no problems, and the site works fine, just WOL won't auto refresh! I disabled all plugins already to see if it was any plugins that were causing it and that didn't work. My TalkDelaware.com site is fine after the upgrade and on the same server. Anyone heard of this? I re-uploaded all the files again to see if that was the culprit too, and no dice. TIA for any advice, CaddyI'm not gonna bother registering to check, your site took almost 40 seconds to load, but i'd suggest its a template problem. Compare templates between the two.actually scratch this, it was the template. after making this i thought abou...... - 2009-07-03

» How about this guy?

Jay Bothroyd, formerly of Coventry City, scored on his Serie A debut with Perugia in their 2-2 draw against Siena this past sunday. Two Questions: 1.If Bothroyd continues to score goals in Serie A,do you think he has a shot at making the Euro 2004 squad? 2.Why hasn't/doesn't David Platt call him into u21 squad?Knowing Sven, after calling up Michael Ricketts a year ago for being in good goal scoring form in the Premiership, and his fondness for Serie A, it wouldn't be a huge surprise. But realistically, he's really not going to be good enough, or be able to do enough, to get into a Euro 2004. So unless he's scoring freely in Serie A, and in particular scoring against the big teams, then he won't even be called up and tested. Certai...... - 2009-07-03

» wedding question.

I am attending a wedding in May and I was thing about bringing my camera to get some pictures mainly of the reception. I am not their "wedding photographer," I just wanted to get some shots. Is there any advice that you all could give to help with this event? Do paid wedding photographers get upset if novices are there also shooting? Is there some sort of unwritten rule saying I should not be getting these pics? I am not planning on getting any formal shots just candid reception pictures. Thanks for the the help.Just about any wedding will have plenty of guests with cameras. Just be respectful of the hired pro photographer and you shouldn't have a problem. Thanks Mike. » Atheists and Christians are using perfectly the same tactics against each other here. But why do Atheists....?

..enjoy it, and Christians feel insulted? Not all of them, of course, but the majorities. What's the reason for that difference?Cos we atheists know that nothing they say can hurt us, or send us to 'hell' so we take it as a joke. Whereas Christians hate it when we shake their faith and therefore get insultedReligious people, for some reason relate a perfectly reasonable debate with their emotions, when all that should be at stake is the correspondence with reality of our claims and beliefs. Most of non-believers have no purpose on their searches other that the truth. And they don't involve their emotions in their search, cause your emotions only cloud your judgments and reason. Believers feel insulted because they'r...... - 2009-07-03

» procrastination

Research on how much individuals procrastinate. Are there any patterns? Are there cost associated? Summary form if possible.Hi qpet-ga, Just a couple questions: 1. By "costs", are you implying that you are considering procrastination in a work environment? If not, it would be helpful if you could expand on what you mean by this :) 2. I can provide several academic research resources on this topic, in fact I have already rounded up a few, but since many of these studies are proprietary information it is against Google Answers policy to post them on this forum. Would reference information suffice in these cases? Thanks, answerguru-gaAny cost. For example procrastination of going to the doctor may result in a worse condition.(the ...... - 2009-07-03

» What's an MRI? Is it scary? Does it hurt?

I'm having chronic back pain which isn't getting better with physical therapy. I'm going back to see my GP tomorrow and many people have suggested that I will probably be sent for an MRI. I'm a little afraid. Is that the machine that domes over your head? Do you get a shot, so they can see things better? Do you have to lie still for a very long time? Any stories of your experiences would be helpful.MRI: Magnetic Resonance Imager. No pain, only a problem if you are claustrophobic, and the test isn't done on an open MRI. Makes loud noises, and you have to lay still; how long depends on where they are looking. Much, much better than x-rays, safer, healthier, and they get a better image.MRI is Magnetic Resona...... - 2009-07-03
